Having climbed at this formation before I took the sharp end.. Most of the time in the last few years that has not been the case.. because objectives tended to be too hard for this grandpa to lead, so it felt good to be a little uncomfortable ..on lead.. Super fun keeping the rope moving at a reasonable pace..

It was very enjoyable getting to know Sydney better.. She is a prime example of what John Muir referred to as `Fine Bright company’..

When I encounter youth like Sydney my faith in Mankind is renewed.. Her parents did a great job.. Fact.. This Woman knows the score, smart, tough, resilient, and Compassionate.. That smile speaks volumes..

As does her hunger for Big adventure out in Mother Nature…
